Questions
Where do the files go?
Into a folder on your PC. A new install uses Downloads\TrySaves, and you can pick another folder in Settings.
Which sites can I paste?
Public pages on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Reddit, Twitch, Dailymotion, and Pinterest. TrySaves saves public files. It does not remove DRM or open a private account you cannot already see.
How do stories work?
Enter an Instagram or TikTok username and choose a story that is up. If a site asks you to be signed in, use a cookie from your own browser. TrySaves never asks for your password.
Why does Windows say the publisher is unknown?
The setup is not signed with a paid certificate yet, so Windows shows Unknown publisher. The download button on this page opens the latest setup from the TrySaves GitHub releases.
How do updates work?
The app checks GitHub. When a newer release is there, you tap Update. It downloads inside the app, installs, and opens again.
